But the purchase of the ideal house that Shakira is aiming for has a big obstacle, which has nothing to do with money: another celebrity would be interested in the property and would find herself at odds with the Colombian singer.

As assured by Mundo Deportivo, citing journalist Álex Rodríguez, Shakira is already settled in a luxury apartment on Fisher Island. The singer would sign a contract to rent this house for three months.

According to the media, Shakira’s intention is to buy a property on the same island. The singer has a period of three months, as long as her lease contract, to find a permanent home tailored to her needs.

Fisher Island would be a dream home for the Colombian singer and her family, since the place is practically inaccessible to paparazzi as access is only possible by boat or helicopter.

As a plan B, Shakira is considering other options in Indian Creek, a nearby island where celebrities such as Julio Iglesias or Adriana Lima have villas, El Nacional CAT reports.

But Shakira’s $15 million Miami mansion is currently being remodeled, just in case she doesn’t finally find a new home.

For now, Shakira is on the list of potential buyers, which also includes Kim Kardashian, to decide on a mansion on Fisher Island.

The property is located in an urbanization that is postulated as “the most expensive residential district in the world, where there are the highest number of millionaires per square meter,” as stated on the island’s official website.

It is a very exclusive area that, among other amenities, has private security, restaurants, a golf course, two swimming pools, tennis courts and a beach. Although enjoying all of this requires, in addition to the house payment, a down payment of $250,000, in addition to $22,256 per year.

This place is home to about 1,300 people who earn more than $2.5 million a year.
