Arrives in Madrid another option (more) to enjoy music without excuses. The second edition of ‘Piano City Madrid’ kicks off on Friday, April 21 in the Madrid capital to offer more than 55 concerts over three days, in different parts of the city. In them you can listen to Spanish and foreign artists completely free of charge: there are up to 50 pianists who participate in this tribute to music spread all over Madrid, to bring their sweet melodies to the ears of the citizens of the capital.
For the second consecutive year, on April 21, 22 and 23, Madrid is once again filled with free concerts up to nine different locations in the city. The idea of celebrating this “great festival of music” presented on Friday by the delegate of the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sports, Andrea Levi, was born with the purpose of taking culture, specifically music, to the street; a proposal devised by the organizer of this project ‘Piano City‘, andreas kernwith an international presence in cities such as Berlin, Milan or New York, and which has had a place in the capital of Madrid for just over a year.
During three days, half a hundred young performers and experienced are protagonists of 55 concerts in the city, to which are added three surprise recitals, which take place in the central Cuesta de Moyano. In these concerts you can listen to all kinds of music, from classical melodies to jazzgoing through electronics, ‘new age’ and even national styles such as Flemish. Among the musicians you can listen to María Parra and Lucía Rey, Álex Conde or Sira Hernández and other internationals such as Claudio Constantini, the Italian Andrea Baccheti or the German Lisa Morgenstern. All of them, selected following the criteria of artistic quality and gender equality, and coming from various styles of music, by TopArtEspaña and the pianist Rosa Torres-Pardoas reported by the Madrid City Council in a statement.
Where are the piano concerts in Madrid?
This event concentrates in nine specific places up to 58 concerts that will be given completely free of charge. During this year, in addition, there is a Tribute to the teacher and jazz musician Bebo Valdésaccording to Servimedia, the mythical Cuban musician who died in 2013. - The Goethe Institute (C. de Zurbarán, 21): includes 5 concerts.
- Count Duke (C. del Conde Duque, 11): with up to 7 concerts.
- Madrid History Museum (C.de Fuencarral, 78): will give 6 concerts.

- Ateneo de Madrid (C.del Prado, 21): with 3 concerts.
- Belgian sawmill (C. de la Alameda, 15): gives 8 concerts.
- Moyano slope (C. Claudio Moyano): with 3 concerts.
- Arganzuela greenhouse (P.ª de la Chopera, 10): it has up to 8 concerts.
- Madrid slaughterhouse (Pl. de Legazpi): with up to 8 concerts.
