What is the difference between milia on the face and atheromas? There are several differences

Both lesions are very similar, which is why they are often confused with each other. However, there are fundamental differences between them. Firstly, milia on the face are much smaller than atheromas and resemble warts. They have a more uniform structure and occur in groups, unlike atheromas, which look like purulent pustules and occur singly. Milia most often appear on the face, head or trunk, and the cause of their formation is the keratosis of the hair follicles, which leads to the accumulation of sebum under the skin.

Although milia on the face are difficult to remove without specialist help, it can be useful in the fight against them.
