How to decorate Easter eggs?
Dyeing eggs with artificial egg dyes – this is the simplest and fastest technique that can be the basis for further decoration. Cooked, hot enough to put in boiling water mixed with dye and a tablespoon of vinegar. After a few minutes, the colored egg is simply removed, dried and rubbed with butter to give it a shine.
Dyeing eggs with natural dyes – is an alternative to artificial dyes. The most common technique is to cook in water with onion skins. Other food ingredients such as turmeric, spinach, beetroot juice or strong coffee also add color.
Decorating eggs with shrink sleeves – a slightly less popular, but fast and effective technique, thanks to which we will give the Easter eggs sophisticated patterns in a moment. Just put a cut piece of shrink foil on a boiled, cooled egg and then immerse it in boiling water for about 3 seconds.
Hand painted Easter eggs – hand painting Easter eggs does not have to be reserved for people with special artistic talents. Decorating eggs should above all give us joy, so it’s not worth being too hard on yourself. There are many tutorials on the web, the authors of which show step by step how to paint Easter eggs.
Decorating Styrofoam eggs or shells – this technique will be great when you plan to use the decorated eggs only for decorative purposes. Boiled eggs kept at room temperature will spoil quickly and will be discarded after a short time. Therefore, egg shells are an alternative, but when blowing the egg from the inside of the shell, it is easy to damage it, and thus waste the whole egg. Styrofoam eggs, to which we can glue ribbon, yarn, sequins, colorful beads or feathers, are a safe and reliable solution.
