Seniors will get more money. All thanks to the March indexation of pensions
On March 1, 2023, pensions underwent a record indexation. This time, both a percentage and amount increase was assumed. As a result, pensioners received 14.8 percent. raises or a minimum of PLN 250 gross more. Thus, the minimum benefit increased from PLN 1,338.44 gross to PLN 1,588.44 gross. Quantitative indexation covered pensions in excess of PLN 1,700.

- PLN 2,100 gross (PLN 1,911 net) -> PLN 2,411 gross (PLN 2,194 net);
- PLN 3,000 gross (PLN 2,670 net) -> PLN 3,444 gross (PLN 3,021 net);
- PLN 4,000 gross (PLN 3,460 net) -> PLN 4,592 gross (PLN 3,928 net);
- PLN 5,000 gross (PLN 4,250 net) -> PLN 5,740 gross (PLN 4,835 net).

In addition to the fact that seniors will receive more money due to the indexation of pensions, they will also receive an additional payment in April. All thanks to the “thirteen”, which they will receive with the April benefit. This year, however, it is taxed, so finally pensioners will get less money than last year. Although it increased by PLN 250, most of the increase will go to the Tax Office. So what can they expect this year?
It turns out that the smaller the benefit the senior receives, the more money he will receive from the 13th pension. What will it look like in practice and how much will pensioners receive?
- Pension lower than PLN 800 – “thirteen” will amount to about PLN 1,445.48 net (less health insurance premium),
- The minimum pension is PLN 1,588.44 gross – the “thirteen” will be about PLN 1,330 net,
- A pension higher than PLN 2,500 gross – “thirteen” will amount to about PLN 1,254.87 net.
When will the allowance be paid? Seniors will receive “thirteen” in April, and in the official announcement she gave the exact schedule:
- April 1 (payout March 31),
- April 5,
- April 6,
- April 10 (payout April 7),
- April 15 (payout April 14),
- April 20,
- April 25.
