Paramount’s head of studio Bob Bakish said some time ago on the portal that he had already seen large fragments of the seventh part of “Mission: Impossible”. He said the film was fascinating, but too long and would have to be cut. This caused a wave of comments among Polish film fans, who began to wonder if it would not affect the scenes with Marcin Dorociński.
Marcin Dorociński’s impossible mission has come to an end
Work on the production began at the end of 2021, but the actor himself admitted to participating in this project only in October 2022. Previously, he only fueled the information by sharing photos on social media from London, where it was suspected that he was working on the set of “Mission: Impossible”.
The seventh part of the adventures of Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, will appear in cinemas on July 12. Meanwhile, Marcin Dorociński boasted on Instagram a photo from the last day of the set, where he poses with director Chris McQuarri and editor Eddie Hamilton. He described the photo with the words:
All’s well that ends well. And it happened. My impossible mission started in December 2021 has come to an end. I would like to share with you a souvenir from the last shooting day. Next to me is Chris McQuarrie, aka McQ – a wonderful director, thanks to whom I am on this project. It was a great honor to meet the man behind the success of Top Gun: Maverick and The Usual Suspects. The gentleman on the left is Eddie Hamilton – one of the most outstanding editors in the world
In the description, he also decided to refer to speculation that scenes with his participation would be cut out:
And behind us is a screen with a shot from the film. Given the media concern and recent headlines, I asked Eddie if he would cut me, but keep his answer between us. Whether this will happen – you will have to see for yourself in July, when the film will hit the cinemas. I still can’t believe that I could be a part of this great machine and great adventure. I am lucky
In this way, the actor between the words let us know that we will not be disappointed in the cinema hall. It is also worth adding that this is not Dorociński’s first role in an international production. Earlier, he managed to play in the Polish-British film “303. Battle of England” and in the hit Netflix series “Queen’s Gambit”, where he played the role of a Soviet chess grandmaster.
