The series “Feedback” is one of the Polish novelties that Netflix announced during the first Show in our country, which took place on March 21, 2023. The series, based on Żulczyk’s novel, was directed by Leszek Dawid – an Eagle Award-winning artist known for such titles as “You Are God”, the series “Pact”, “In the depths of the forest” or the film “Broad Peak”.
“Feedback” with Arkadiusz Jakubik promises to be great
Jakub ¯ulczyk has already made several successful series productions – the famous production based on his novel “Blind by the lights” was praised, the writer was also the screenwriter of one of the most successful Polish crime series, i.e. “Belfra”. The screening of “Feedback” will be the first joint project with the Polish branch of Netflix. The writer, who has already seen most of the finished materials, already announced during the Netflix Show that this could be the beginning of a longer collaboration.
In short, the plot tells the story of an alcohol-addicted former rock musician – in this graceful role. Although his hero struggles with numerous demons, one day he has to embark on a journey full of unexpected twists into the darkest corners of Warsaw and the human psyche to find his missing son. This, in turn, was played by the debutant Jakub Sierenberg.
During a meeting with the press, Arkadiusz Jakubik emphasized that the script of the series drew him in so much that he read it almost in one breath – thanks to this, the actor had no doubts that he absolutely wanted to take part in this project. Interestingly, the script based on the book was not prepared by Żulczyk, but by Kacper Wysocki, who made his debut with “Klangor” – Arkadiusz Jakubik also played the main role in that series. Here it is worth noting how well he was chosen to play the character of Marcin Kania – the private actor is both a musician who performs under the banner of Doktor Misio and is the father of two sons. You could say that this role is almost on condition.
The actor advertised the latest production with his participation even better when he told from the stage that usually when actors watch the productions in which they played, they are unable to note the plot, because they focus on technicalities: on how they played, what in their opinion could be improved, mention the circumstances surrounding the creation of certain scenes. In the case of “Feedback”, however, it was immediately – Jakubik was immediately carried away by the action and completely stopped thinking about how he looks on the screen. It’s a very good prognosticator.
It is not yet known how long we will have to wait for the finished series – Netflix has not yet announced the exact premiere date.
