28-year-old Angela Rafuse recently celebrated a “round” occasion. And it wasn’t a birthday or an anniversary. Angela announced that she had just successfully completed her 100th pet adoption. Angela realized the importance of the problem thanks to her grandfather. He died at the age of 85, and no one in the family wanted to take care of his Mackenzie cat. The old man was sick and terrified, and he didn’t have the strength to look for new owners. The cat was taken care of by Angela herself, who had recently experienced a painful separation.
I was grief-stricken and heartbroken after the breakup and loss of my grandfather, but my only options were to take her to a shelter or adopt her. I had to take her.
