It’s not easy to spot a problem, openly acknowledge it, and try to redeem yourself. Pere Aznar he tries to go down this path as a way of apologizing to his daughter. The comedian confessed to being an alcoholic, something he carried with him for a whopping 27 years of his life.

“I try alcohol for the first time At 13 years old“, he assures. Aznar says that it was at the age of 39 (he is now 41) when he began to know his personality, to know who he is. During that time, he has never failed in his work or family obligations, although he has always had a “beast asking all the time”.

“You don’t feel deserving of love, affection and affection. you feel like a piece of shit and that means you’re not enjoying yourself anywhere”, he laments. The moment something clicked inside him was after burying a friend, at which point he stopped drinking and looking for excuses.

In his book ‘Drinking’, he wanted to tell his daughter about his experience with alcoholism, a harsh first-person account that becomes “a letter of love and forgiveness” to the little one “She’s had a dad with a problem until she was 6 years old and I want her to know it,” she adds.
