Although Daniel Olbrychski made his debut in the film Wounded in the Forest in 1963, he gained the greatest popularity two years later thanks to his role in Ashes, directed by Andrzej Wajda. After participating in the production, his career gained momentum, and the best directors sought his participation in their productions. He has collaborated with with Kazimierz Kutz, Krzysztof Zanussi, Jerzy Hoffman and Stanisław Breja. he created many outstanding creations in such productions as “Marriage of Convenience”, “The Wedding”, “The Structure of Crystal”, “Promised Land” or “With Fire and Sword”. His talent was also noticed overseas. Olbrychski has played a role in Philippe Noyce’s Hollywood production.
