Food moths nest in loose products. Once they appear, it’s hard to get rid of them. they are characterized by the fact that they multiply quickly and nest in newer and newer packaging of groats, rice or pasta, so noticing even one individual should prompt you to take appropriate action. Our mica expert Tomasz Pazdyk has three ways to deal with moths. See for yourself!
Place the traps in a bowl on the windowsill. Moles will disappear in a few hours
One of the easiest ways to get rid of pests is to prepare a few simple scent traps and place them on your kitchen windowsill. Just pour a small amount or wine into the transparent bowls or saucers. Insects, attracted by the pleasant smell, will come inside and in just a few hours we will get rid of the problem.
We already know that intense fragrances will help us fight moths, so it is also worth spraying intense aromas in your kitchen cabinets. Vinegar, orange or lemon will work. An effective way is also to put a few popular spices near the packaging of loose products – mint leaves, cloves or vanilla sticks.
Product storage is important
Moths love to eat paper, so do not store products in cardboard packaging. And if you see even one moth, you must get rid of all products such as flour, rice or groats, because there is a high probability that insects have laid their eggs there. So where should the products be stored? A good idea is glass containers that moths simply cannot get into.
