This is the order in which the 2023 Goya Awards will be announced

This Saturday they return Goya Awards. will be held in Seville for the second time in the history of the Spanish film awards. The experts speak of a edition very hard-fought for the quality of the films and proper names nominated. And others celebrate that, for the first time, there are more women nominated for Best film than male directors: three (Carla Simón, Pilar Palomero and Ruiz de Azúa) compared to two (Sorogoyen and Rodríguez). This same proportion is repeated in Best New Director: Ruiz de Azúa, Carlota Pereda (“Cerdita”), Elena López Riera (“El agua”), Juan Diego Botto (“On the margins”) and Mikel Gurrea (“Suro”).

In addition to this, the gala of the Goya Awards 2023which will start at 10:00 p.m., will have more nominees than ever. Five for each category instead of four. This means that the presenters of the event will have to work even harder to entertain all of them and that the wait for their category does not take too long (although certain artistic performances have also been settled for that). In any case, there will be those who have to wait until the end of the gala to find out if they take home a ‘pigheaded’. And that always tends to happen to those who have been nominated for categories that arouse more interest, such as Best Picture or Best Actor or Actress.
