World War III, cooperation with aliens and underwater civilization. We are reviewing Baba Wanga’s prophecies

According to the visions of Baba Vanga, the Bulgarian blind mystic, this year our planet is to change its orbit. This will lead to a solar storm that could destroy the Earth. As if that were not enough, one of the countries will carry out work on a new biological weapon, during which a dangerous incident is to occur. Sounds horrible.

We reassure those who started to be afraid. The end of the world is unlikely to happen yet, because according to another vision of Wanga, it will not take place until 5079. Additionally, considering her catastrophic predictions for the previous years, nothing came true. Here are some examples:

  • In 2010, World War III was about to break out.
  • In 2011, as a result of radioactive fallout, the northern hemisphere of the Earth was supposed to be devoid of flora and fauna.
  • In 2014, most of the population in the northern hemisphere was expected to die from cancer and other skin diseases caused by radiation and chemicals.
  • The war in Syria was supposed to be the beginning of the end of the world.
  • Barack Obama was to be the last president of the United States.
  • The Muslims were about to invade Europe. Accordingly, the old continent was supposed to cease to exist by the end of 2016.

The prophecies for the years to come are even more interesting.

  • In 2028, humanity will fly to Venus to search for new energy sources.
  • In 2066, the United States will use a new weapon to retake Rome from the Muslims.
  • In 2078, the world will be flooded with communism.
  • In 2130, humanity, in cooperation with aliens, will create an underwater civilization.
  • In 2187, humanity will stop the eruption of two volcanoes.

Given the accuracy of the mystic’s earlier visions, we don’t really have to worry about the events announced for 2023 and beyond. Naturally, however, the question arises: what is the source of these prophecies anyway? Because they regularly appear not only in the Polish media, but also in the British, German, Spanish and, of course, Russian media. The latter especially loved Wanga. This is because in her visions Russia always appeared as a great and invincible empire. It is now no secret, however, that such prophecies were forced or made up by Soviet propaganda.

Where did these visions come from?

Baba Vanga died in 1996. Before her death, the mystic was to write down the fate of humanity. Therefore, every year in December and January we can read what awaits us in the coming months. However, it is difficult to find any information on who is currently in possession of this allegedly existing document. So it’s possible that it doesn’t really exist. And click-byte prophecies (almost always with a photo of a mushroom cloud) are invented by journalists themselves every year around the New Year.

Besides, it’s really hard to confirm what the mystic really said at the moment. We can meet, among other things, with the opinion that many of her prophecies have been distorted. In addition, she herself was illiterate and spoke a dialect that was difficult for most people to understand. And what critics usually emphasize, Wanga did not give details. And this, on the other hand, created the perfect field for overinterpreting her words.

Why are people so interested in the predictions of clairvoyants?

The Internet is flooded with prophecies of Baba Wanga and other seers. And even though scary visions usually don’t come true, people invariably crave this type of news (you can see it in the results). So I asked a psychologist why we are interested in such visions.

– It is in human nature that we try to secure ourselves for the future, and therefore also predict it, protect ourselves from evil, make good choices. In prophecies we look for answers to love, partner life, career, health, children. We read horoscopes, read tarot to receive comfort, hope, support, in order to think differently about troubles – explains psychologist and therapist Wiktoria Dróżka.

The expert adds that research shows that we use various types of divination and prophecy when uncertainty grows in us, something unpredictable happens, e.g. a war or a pandemic breaks out. – And in the future, we dig at different times – at the end of the year, during the New Year’s period, looking for love, before the birth of a child, after the wedding, but also in times of stagnation. Most often, when the level of fear is higher and we want change, and at the same time we are afraid of it – says our interlocutor.

“Some want fortune tellers to take responsibility for the decisions they make”

Baba Wanga’s predictions, like those of other media clairvoyants, do not inspire optimism. It’s good if we approach them with distance and they are only entertainment for us. It is worse when we treat them seriously and, for example, make our life plans or decisions dependent on them.

– Some want fortune tellers to take responsibility for the decisions they make, which could promise a simpler solution. One can risk saying that consolation in divination is needed by people who feel loneliness and want quick answers to various life dilemmas. Of course, you can gain a different perspective thanks to prophecies, but will a person who has never seen us before have a better view of the situation than, for example, a friend? – concludes the psychologist.
