In the list of the Street Art Cities website to choose the best mural in the world there were three works from Euskal Herria and all three have managed to advance to the final phase, ranking among the ten best. These are the works of the young artist from Pasaitarra nexgraff Promoted by the musical association Illumbe at Casa Ciriza, the mural created by the Galician Wedo Goas and the Catalan Slim safont in Tudela on the occasion of the Futura Tudela festival, and the work of the Catalan artist Lian in Ondarroa in memory of the netters.
Street Art Cities published a list of the 100 most outstanding murals in the world earlier this month and launched a vote. The works are located in 92 cities in 30 countries such as Albania, Argentina, Colombia, Georgia, India, Jordan, New Zealand, Russia… and also in the towns of Pasaia, Tudela and Ondarroa. Now, users must choose the best among the best. Voting will end on January 30.
Last year, the winning mural was a work by the Galician artist Diego As in Lugo, and it is not the first time that Basque artists have been featured on this type of list.
In 2020, for example, a mural by the Azokitiarra artist Udane Juaristi in Oviedo was chosen among the best in the world, as well as another work by Lian in Leitza.
