His film is always silly and stupidly enjoyable. “
On IndieWire, Nicholas Barber says that the production is “a delight of the ‘mod’ period (…) it has a lot of the Wright touch but feels completely new. What a magnificent film (…) the skill with which Wright navigates between tones and time periods is exceptional. “
However, Guy Lodge of Variety maintains in his criticism that The mystery in Soho it is “a surprising mistake, all the more disappointing in that it is made with obvious care and conviction.”

“The producers and I insisted on waiting for the rooms to open and the Universal studio agreed. We feel like we have to give it at least one shot in theaters to be seen the way it was conceived. Of course, eventually, the public will be able to see it at home “, Wright explained a few months ago in an interview with the specialized site IndieWire. (AND)
