They invest more than S / 566 million for internet in 15 regions of the country

In order for more Peruvians to have access to the internet, the National Telecommunications Program (Pronatel), an entity attached to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, made an investment of S / 566 million 20,111 between the months of January and October of this year. This has made it possible to accelerate the deployment of broadband projects in 15 regions of the country.

This investment represents 120% more than the accumulated average in the first ten months of each year from 2017 to 2020. Likewise, Pronatel highlighted that the fiscal budget has been increased by 69.5%. In addition, in June of this year S / 346 million were incorporated into the budget.

The main advances were presented in the projects of the regions of Junin with an execution of S / 18.6 million, Huanuco with S / 7.2 million, Pasco with S / 4.5 million and Arequipa with S / 1.4 million.

In addition, he announced that connectivity tests of the projects in the regions are being carried out. Tacna and Moquegua. These will be 100% completed in the first quarter of 2022, Junín for the second quarter and Puno for the first half of next year. This will be connecting schools, medical centers and police stations in 942 rural towns with quality Internet service.
