What is Karma’s fault? It is not a rhetorical question, it is a new Netflix tape that has the participation of Gil Cherry, Aislinn Derbez Y Renata Notniand which is directed by Elizabeth Miller.
“It was a new experiment in my career. An experience of expansion, of finding myself with other worlds that rewind around music, which opens these bridges to other disciplines, such as cinema”, explains Cerezo, the singer, composer, DJ and vocalist of the band Kinky.
The film is about Sara (Aislinn Derbez), a young fashion designer who is reunited with Aarón (Gil Cerezo), the love of her childhood who is now engaged to her sister Lucy (Renata Notni).
“I do believe in karma. For me it is a law of life, a universal law that governs my life. Absolutely all the energy that I emanate is the same quality of energy that will come back to me”, comments Derbez.
“What I liked most about Gil was that he had the great ability, which is not easy, to be himself and to be natural, to be very him. I think it’s one of the most difficult things that can be done in front of the camera. That made him a great actor, because he did it very naturally, it didn’t feel like he was acting, “added the actress.
Although singing for the film was not complicated for the musician, Cerezo comments on his nervousness about the kiss he would have to share with Derbez. “It was weird, huh. I had never been in a situation like this, not even in Kinky’s videos, where they had always just been ‘itchy’, but I already kissed tongue and everything… Aislinn told me: ‘Name, don’t worry, nothing happens, you Come on,” said the actor.
“If there is another project or El Karma 2, we throw it in,” said Cerezo.
