tubacex has obtained a profit of 3.4 million euros in the first quarter of the year, which places the company in positive results for the second consecutive quarter. In the same period last year, the stainless steel tube company from Alava had losses of 16.4 million.
Sales have risen to 158.1 million euros, which represents an increase of 82.7% compared to the first quarter of 2021.
The entry of orders has been above 500 million euros, that is, at a maximum of the last four years, to which is added that the general context of global growth in energy demand is accelerating the award of new projects, therefore, the company expects to increase the order book in the short term.
In addition, Tubacex highlights that the results could have been better, but have been weighed down by high levels of inflation, tensions in the supply chain and increases in energy prices, among other factors.
