The Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) closed the day on Thursday, March 17 with gains in its main indices, with 13 indicators in green and 3 in red. So the index S&P/BVL Peru General, the most representative of the Lima stock market, rose 1.42% to 24,931.52 points.
Similarly, the index S&P/BVL Peru Selectivewhich is made up of the most traded shares in the local market, also increased by 1.38% and was placed at 649.03 units.

The earnings of the day were led by the mining sector that grew 3.39%, followed by financials with 1.18%, consumption with 0.63%, and electricity and services, with 0.14% and 0.13%, respectively. On the other hand, the items that closed the day with losses were construction (-0.34%) and industrial (-0.24%).
The shares that rose the most within the local index were: Trevali Mining (6.86%), Backus and Johnston (3.90%), Southern Copper (3.89%) and Luz del Sur (3.03%). While those that fell the most were Panoro Minerals (-8.39%), Compañía Minera Poderosa (-3.17%) and Coril (-2.72%).
