President Pedro Castillo during his message addressed to the Congress of the Republic announced that he has signed the supreme decree that declares the national agricultural sector in an emergency.
The president emphasized that this sector has been hit by the crisis caused by COVID-19 and by the increase in the prices of fertilizers and supplies. Likewise, he pointed out that agriculture “is on the way to an increasingly critical situation.”
“He announced that we have signed the Supreme Decree for the Declaration of Emergency of the National Agro. Within the framework of this decision, we will implement a set of actions of a normative and organizational nature”, he pointed out.
At another point, he also highlighted that his government approved the guidelines for the second agrarian reform. In addition, he indicated that in 2021 more than 28,000 producers accessed business plans with an investment of S / 115 million.
