The second day of carriers’ strike is noticeable in the Port of Bilbao and Navarra

The indefinite carrier strike lives its second day in Hego Euskal Herria, and as in the previous day, it will be noticed above all in the Port of Bilbao and in Navarra.

As the strikers have explained, most trucks are not entering the port. They estimate the follow-up of the strike in this sector at around 80-90%, and those who enter are foreigners without knowledge of the mobilizations.

In any case, the main carrier associations of the CAV have not joined the strike at the moment, and the effect will be more noticeable on the roads of Navarra, where, in addition to Hiru, the Navarran association Tradisna does support the strike.

In the foral community, throughout the morning, some 150 trucks They will take the protest from the muga with Álava to the center of the capital. According to the organizers of the caravan, they will exceed their expectations and will convey the message “in favor of decent transport” to the Headquarters of the Navarre Treasury.

According to Hiru’s spokesman, Patxi Aguirre, the Administration must make decisions regarding the rise in the price of diesel. The union representative has called for “regularization” in the sector, because today “anything is done.”

Faced with the announcement of tax reductions by the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, Arregi assures that “it is not the solution”. He calls for the fight to continue until the price of fuel is revised and adjusted.

Finally, carriers have denounced that delivery van drivers are receiving “threats” from their companies so that they do not go on strike.
