The Business Support Program for Micro and Small Businesses (PAE Mype) in its 11 months of validity has placed credits for around 7.2% of its total budget, according to data from the Ministry of Production (Produce).
To date, there are 8,400 mypes that have received loans guaranteed by the program created to finance micro-entrepreneurs in the sectors most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with working capital loans.
The average ticket for loans is S/ 18,092, which in total achieves a total of S/ 151 million, that is, an advance of 7.2% of the 2,000 million that the program has as a budget.
According to the estimates of the Executive, the PAE Mype projects to benefit 156,000 entrepreneurs; however, its validity ends on March 31 and it is still unknown if the term will be extended.
Purchases from MYPErú benefited more than 1,900 business units
On the other hand, the Vice Minister of Mype and Industry, Luis MartÃn Mesone, pointed out that the State, through the Purchases to MYPErú program, has hired around 1,901 Mypes, for S/ 213 million, between August 1, 2021 and January 2022. The benefited sectors were textiles, clothing, leather-footwear and metal-wood for S/ 213 million.
