They have taken to the streets again to protest against the reform, which “breaks the promises made, excludes most of our demands, and opens the door to new cuts.”
The Euskal Herria Pensioners’ Movement has mobilized again this Saturday in Pamplona/Iruña, Bilbao and other towns to show its “rejection of the failed pension reform”.
“This is a shared mobilization because the December 2021 reform fails to keep the promises made, excludes most of our demands, and opens the door to new cuts and the application of private management models of public pensions”, they affirm in a release.
And they add that the approved labor reform “leaves intact the most harmful aspects” of the previous reforms, and “does not fulfill the promises and agreements to repeal them.”
To this they add that “the insufficiency of the increase in the Interprofessional Minimum Wage, which loses purchasing power in relation to the increase in prices, is yet another reason for both pensioners and workers to unite our voices and give a comprehensive response in a coordinated manner “.
