The CAF Group, through its subsidiary Solaris, has announced this Monday that the company Unibuss (Norwegian transport operator) has awarded it a contract that includes the delivery of 183 electric buses Urbino 18.
According to what was reported, the Basque company based in Beasain, in the tender have participated the main companies in the sector. The total value of the contract amounts to a figure of approximately €100 million, and becomes the largest electric articulated bus contract executed by Solaris, surpassing the 130 electric vehicles recently delivered to the Warsaw public transport operator MZA.
Among other features, this vehicle stands out for the absence of emissions and its ability to operate up to 24 hours a day depending on the chosen equipment and infrastructure, the source specifies.
The CAF Group has also recently closed two new contracts for the supply of 5 hydrogen buses and 50 trolleybuses in Austria and Italy respectively, confirming its position as one of the lleaders in the supply of zero vehicles emissions in Europe.
