Thus, the currency increased by 0.39% compared to the close of the last Monday, January 17, when it stood at S / 3.8550. The purchase in the parallel market was located at S/ 3.85 and the sale at S/ 3.90. As for the price of the bank dollar, it stands at S/ 3.7640 for purchase and S/ 3.9640 for sale at the Banco de Credito del Peru (BCP).
During the day, the issuing entity went to the market to sell US$ 12 million at an average exchange rate of S/ 3.8700 per dollar to mitigate the volatility of the currency. In addition, it placed exchange rate swaps for S/ 600 million and interest rate swaps for S/ 50 million.
