As the government informed, the alert level was introduced “due to the potential risk of threat to the security of ICT systems”. According to the Ministry of Digitization, this action is preventive and is associated with cyber attacks that have taken place in Ukraine in recent days.

“All disturbing and unusual situations and threats should be reported to the Police via the 112 telephone number” – appeals to the Government Security Center.

“CRP alert levels refer to threats in cyberspace. The ALFA-CRP level is the lowest of the four alert levels specified in the Act on anti-terrorist activities. It is primarily a signal for security services and the entire public administration to be particularly vigilant” – we read further.

Determining the ALFA-CRP level means that the public administration is obliged to conduct increased monitoring of the security of ICT systems. According to the regulations, these institutions will, inter alia, monitor and verify that there has been no breach of security of electronic communication.

The Government Center for Security also reminded that the alert levels “are introduced, changed and dismissed, by way of an order, by the Prime Minister on the basis of the provisions of the Act of June 10, 2016 on anti-terrorist activities”.
