Kaiky and Angelo, the young figures of Santos from Brazil who are one step away from FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona obtained a right to purchase two of the great Brazilian talents who play for Santos and who, despite their youth, have already accumulated a good run in professional football. They are Kaiky, an 18-year-old central defender, and Angelo, a 17-year-old winger.

The fight in the offices between the team from São Paulo and the Catalan team goes back a long way, and the current directive of the Fish (Pez) has been forced to seek this solution to avoid a new sanction from FIFA that prevents him from signing, as has happened in previous market windows.

Santos did not respect at the time FC Barcelona’s purchase option on Gabriel Gabigol Barbossa. With this agreement they avoid paying $3.5 million and solve the legal problem, published daily AS from Spain.

For the team led by Xavi Hernández, it represents an excellent opportunity to acquire two talents with enormous projection and a good present, as they demonstrated last season.

Kaiky was the undisputed starter, both in the Brazilian as in the Copa Libertadores, and stands out for its speed and strength in the aerial game. Since his debut he showed enormous maturity on the field and he was not weighed down by matches of enormous importance at the continental level.

Angelo, on the other hand, is a skillful, daring footballer with a lot of goals, despite preferring to play close to the wing. In fact, he managed to score at a younger age than Pelé with the Santos shirt.

The talented footballer, who will not come of age until December, had more problems adding minutes in the final stretch of the campaign, but on the pitch he has always been daring, with overflow and a high pace in the final meters. (D)
