Promperú: non-mining energy exports grew 32% between January and November 2021

Non-mining energy exports between January and November 2021 reached US$ 17,776 million. The figure is 32% higher than that recorded in the same period of 2020, according to Amora Carbajal, executive president of Promperú.

In this regard, Carbajal pointed out that regional exports represented 55% of total shipments abroad. “In these 11 months, the 11 exporting sectors registered a positive behavior”, he mentioned.

“In this period, 7,632 companies were registered that exported more than 4,600 products, reaching 168 markets on five continents,” he added.

Likewise, he pointed out that the number of exporting companies grew by 11% in relation to the same accumulated period of 2020, while the number of products grew by 7%.

Regional non-mining energy exports between January and November 2021 reached US$9,815 million. “The results have been achieved by 2,618 companies located in the various regions of our country,” said Carbajal.

Exports by sectors

As of November, the Agricultural Sector led exports with US$ 7,759 million, that is, 17% more than the same period in 2020. The list of best-selling products was headed by blueberries (US$ 1,145 million).

For its part, the Manufacturing Sector achieved US$4,813 million (+44%), the Fishing Sector US$3,649 million (+39%), the Services Sector US$2,614 million and the Clothing Sector US$1,545 million (+71%) .
