Although not everyone is aware of it, it constantly releases new security patches that fix operating system vulnerabilities that could potentially be exploited by cybercriminals. Now we get a large package of this type of changes.
Microsoft has released 96 patches. It’s worth installing them
As reported by the American, Microsoft published on Tuesday a large package consisting of as many as 96 security patches. It includes patches for all operating systems supported by the company, including the flagship Windows 11 and older Windows 10.
The package includes, among others update for Microsoft Exchange Server, Office and Windows Defender. Six of the 96 patches fix Zero Day (or previously unknown) vulnerabilities that were not used by cybercriminals for attacks. Another 7 holes were critical.
ZDNet notes that January’s patch package is unusually large. Typically during this period, Microsoft releases twice as few patches. For comparison, in December 20 there were 67, and in November 55. Patches are now available from the Windows Update level and it is definitely worth downloading (if they haven’t installed themselves yet) to keep your computer safe.
Microsoft is also preparing interesting news
We’ve also learned more recently about what’s new to Windows 11 as part of the major Sun Valley 2 update, which will most likely appear in summer 2022. Microsoft will most likely standardize the system interface, which today remains incoherent in some places. In addition, there will be more options for personalizing the Start Menu space, new options in settings and support for widgets provided by other companies.
The appearance of the window with the selection of open applications that can be called with the Alt + Tab shortcut will also change. In addition, the window will now be displayed on a part of the screen, not the entire screen as before. The sound slider and the Twój Telefon and Media Player applications will also be refreshed. These tools are supposed to fit better (visually, first of all) with the rest of the system.
