The Basque Country’s GDP grows by 0.8% in summer compared to the previous quarter

According to data prepared by Eustat, the Basque economy rose 0.8% between July and September in relation to the second quarter of this year. Employment has also grown by 0.6%.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Basque Autonomous Community has increased between July and September 2021 a 0.8%, in relation to the last quarter. The job, meanwhile, also increased by 0.6%, according to the estimates of the progress of the quarterly accounts made by the Basque Institute of Statistics, Eustat.

If compared with the same period in 2020, still highly conditioned by the restrictions adopted to contain the covid-19 pandemic, the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the BAC was 3.8%.

The job, measured as full-time equivalent jobs, has ascended during the summer months 0.6% compared to the previous quarter and 3.2% over the summer of 2020.

The increase in economic activity between July and September is the fifth consecutive quarter with positive quarter-on-quarter rates of change.
