Authority for Reconstruction with Changes executed about 80% of its 2021 budget

The Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (ARCC), as executing entity, invested S / 1,995 million in 2021, an amount that represents 79.5% of the S / 2,508 million budgeted. In this way, it becomes one of the highest execution rates among the ministries.

The executive director of the ARCC, Amalia Moreno Vizcardo, highlighted that this level of execution is higher than the 70.5% achieved by the public investment total.

“2021 was a good year for the ARCC and we see that the level of execution achieved is recognized by various public and private entities, such as the Private Competitiveness Council,” he stressed.

In its recent report CPC Data – Public Sector Investment 2021, the Private Competitiveness Council highlights that the projects executed by the ARCC, within the framework of the Government to Government Agreement (G2G) with the United Kingdom, represent 12.2% of the investment made by the National Government in 2021.

In detail, the investment of the National Government showed a significant increase thanks to the interventions promoted by the ARCC through the aforementioned agreement. That is why the investment reached S / 16,392 million in the last year, which includes an increase of 42.4% compared to 2020 and 20.5% compared to 2019.

Likewise, the document highlights that these projects represent 43.7% of the increase in execution in 2021, compared to the years 2017 to 2020.

G2G contracts

It is important to mention that in June 2020, the ARCC signed the G2G with the United Kingdom. From that date to the present, an investment of S / 7,520 million was allocated for 125 projects that are in execution.

In this regard, he is in charge the reconstruction of 15 health facilities in the regions of Áncash (7), Piura (5), Lambayeque (1), La Libertad (1) and Lima (1) that were affected by the El Niño Costero Phenomenon.

In addition, it carries out the reconstruction of 74 schools in Piura (29), Áncash (24), La Libertad (8), Lambayeque (5), Tumbes (3), Lima (2), Cajamarca (2), Huancavelica (1) and comprehensive solutions for flood control in 12 rivers and 3 streams on the coast.

The interventions will benefit more than 2 million people in Piura, Lambayeque, Cajamarca, La Libertad, Lima, Ica, Tumbes, Áncash and Huancavelica.

Similarly, within the framework of the agreement, there are 16 projects to be contracted with a budget of S / 2,475 million. To this, there are 21 interventions in the contracting strategy for S / 11,641 million.

Among the regions with the highest amount of investment with G2G projects are Áncash with S / 2,294 million and 38 works; Freedom with S / 1,850 million and 19 projects; and Piura with S / 1,011 million and 35 interventions.
