The price of the dollar closed higher and stood at S / 3.9790 in operations on Wednesday, December 29. The greenback started the day at S / 3.9575, as reported by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

In this way, the currency increased its value by 0.45% compared to the close of last Tuesday, December 28, when it stood at S / 3.9610. The purchase in the parallel market was located at S / 3.98 and the sale at S / 4.01. As for the price of the dollar in the windows of the main banks, it stands at the purchase of S / 3,979 and the sale of S / 4,009.

During the day, the issuing entity went to the market at sell $ 1 million at an average exchange rate of S / 3.980 per dollar to mitigate the volatility of the currency. In addition, it placed exchange swaps for S / 540 million.

Likewise, the greenback accumulates a gain of 9.95% against the sun so far in 2021, after closing at S / 3,619 in 2020.

This occurs when the holder of the Economy portfolio, Pedro Francke, affirmed that in recent days the S / 36,000 million fence in public investment has been passed and that six legislative decrees have been approved.
