Peruvian e-commerce set a new record in the latest edition of CyberWow, held from July 15 to 18 of this year, allowing nearly 300 brands to achieve a 230% increase in their sales, according to information from Niubiz, a payment media company and promoter of the evolution of digital transactions in the country. Thus, the average purchase ticket was S/355, 46% more than the same period in 2023.
In addition, more than 1,058,000 cards were used for transactions, which represents an increase of 18% compared to July of last year. Of these transactions, 46% corresponded to consumers who had not made any purchases in the previous four weeksshowing an increase of 6 percentage points compared to the 2023 event.
Along these lines, Niubiz presented an 82% growth in overall sales, with a 271% increase in sales from CyberWow affiliated businesses, with the most notable times being the opening and closing times of CyberWow, the first day from 12 am to 3 am and the last day from 9 pm to 12 am.
In addition, convenience stores grew by more than 1,000% during the discount days, compared to previous weeks. Household appliances and beauty and personal care increased their sales by 700%, while department stores quadrupled their sales and travel, home improvement, insurance and clothing agencies managed to double their sales.
