July represents not only a month of celebration for all Peruvians but also a month of opportunities where the economy is boosted by the generation of formal employment in key sectors. Along these lines, Adecco Peru reported that for this campaign, 500 job openings are expected, with mass consumption leading the demand for these, along with the retail sector.

“We estimate a growth of 12% compared to last year’s campaign, which means – for the company – more than 500 additional jobs offered per season. 75% of these contracts will be used to meet the demand of the mass consumption sectorespecially in its food and beverage categories, and the other 25% will be allocated to positions in the retail sector,” emphasized Lorena Carbone, director of Adecco Sales & Marketing.

Luis Garro, manager of Adecco Industrial & Logistics, also highlighted the high demand for trained personnel to meet the needs of transport, storage and distribution during this period in services associated with the logistics sector.

However, the Executive believes that there is still a latent problem in this industry, which is the informal market, since workers in these areas opt for jobs without legal benefits.

What will be the most sought-after positions?

The most sought-after positions for this season, according to Carbone, They will be the hosts and pullers at the points of sale in supermarkets and shopping centers.

Likewise, due to the frequency of visits to stores, the demand for merchandisers with previous experience in the area of mass consumption, food and beverages will be high, since personnel will be needed to replenish the warehouses and the displayed shelves.

On the other hand, the logistics sector will require machine operators and warehouse assistants, followed by leadership positions such as supervisors.
