The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) declared the dissolution of five cooperatives, due to being involved in the cause of inactivity, and sent another to intervention regime at the national level.
The dissolved cooperatives are Yayantsi, Señor de Ánimas de Canchuillca, Chalhuanca – Aymaraes, Niño Jesús de Pacucha, Santo Domingo del Sur Ltda and Crediconfianza. Meanwhile, the cooperative subject to the intervention regime is Arcángel.
According to SBS, the five dissolved were due to inactivity, according to the fundamentals that govern the cooperative system. In this way, it was resolved to “exclude them from the National Registry of Savings and Credit Cooperatives Not Authorized to Raise Resources from the Public.”
From now on, it is prohibited to initiate judicial or administrative proceedings against these cooperatives for the collection of debts owed to them, to pursue the execution of judicial resolutions issued against them, or to constitute liens on any of their assets as security for their obligations.
