Executive Boards: CCL, ADEX, Comex and SNI ask for greater commitment from the MEF to generate trust

Four of the most important unions in Peru demanded that the Peruvian Government provide greater speed and dynamism for the Executive Boards led by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), which “constitute a space for public-private dialogue to promote competitiveness, unblock investments, and facilitate productive activity throughout the country”.

The Association of Exporters (ADEX), the National Society of Industries (SNI), the Chamber of Commerce of Lima (CCL), and the Foreign Trade Society of Peru (Comex) maintained that the Executive Boards are promoting “the elimination of obstacles and regulations that undermine the trust and predictability of investments.

These work spaces articulate priority sectors of the national economy such as Mining, Agroindustry, Forestry, Fishing and aquaculture, Mypes, Food and beverages, Textile and clothing, Naval industry, Peruvian Amazon, Film locations, among others.

“A fundamental part of these achievements has been the solid and experienced technical team in charge of the Executive Boards, as well as the fact that they depend directly on the MEF, which acts as an articulating and coordinating entity with the different entities of the State,” they stated. the four unions in a statement.

In that sense, the signatory unions called on the Minister of Economy and Finance, José Arista, to “strengthen the Executive Boards that, due to their transparent work, generate the necessary trust in the private sector.”

“In order to contribute to the recovery of our economy, the generation of jobs, and the reduction of poverty that has been affecting millions of Peruvians,” the document concludes.
