Government puts a lock on unnecessary expenses in state companies

Austerity measures were approved for Fonafe and the companies under its purview.

Through Supreme Decree No. 052-2024-EF, the Government approved provisions for austerity, discipline and quality in public spending and personnel income until December 31, 2024.

These measures ordered by the Ministry of Economy and Finance will be applied to the National Fund for Financing State Business Activity (Fonafe), to the companies under its scope and to EsSalud, and will be exercised within a maximum period of 15 business days, counted from from its entry into force.

In that sense, The execution of representation expenses or expenses related to events and celebrations must be restricted to attending to essential situations that correspond strictly and exclusively to the corporate purpose of the company.

It should be remembered that there are 35 State companies attached to Fonafe, among which Agrobanco, Banco de la Nación, Cofide, Fondo Mivivienda, Perupetro, Córpac, Sedapal, Serpost and Editora Perú stand out, among others.
