The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) updated the maximum values of Social Interest Housing (VIS) in the application modality of Acquisition of New Housing, both for single-family buildings and multi-family residences.
Supreme Decree No. 005-2024-VIVIENDA establishes that, for the next period, the maximum value of the Single-Family VIS will be up to S/104,500, while the Multifamily VIS (residential complex, villas) will be up to S/130,500.
The previous maximum values for the application of the Single-Family VIS and the Multi-Family VIS were S/102,800 and S/128,400, respectively.
Architect Aldo Facho Dede, from the Latin American Network of Urban Planners, explains that these VIS values are updated annually, according to the progress of inflation.
A VIS is any housing promoted by the State, whose purpose is aimed at reducing the qualitative and quantitative housing deficit gap, whose maximum values are approved annually by Supreme Decree.
On the other hand, the same decree increases the Family Housing Bonus for Emergencies and establishes that, for the Construction of Homes on Own Site, the amount will range from 6 UIT (S/30,900) to 10.74 UIT (S/55,311) .
In the case of New Home Acquisition, the new established amount of the bonus will range from 8.7 UIT (S/44,805) to 16.28 UIT (S/83,842) at the national level.
Meanwhile, for the Peruvian capital it will range from 8.7 UIT (S/44,805) “to the maximum current value of VIS in a Multifamily Building/Residential Complex/Farmhouse, established in accordance with the provisions of Article 2 of Law No. ° 27829, Law that creates the Family Housing Bonus (Lima)”.
