Dollar in Peru: exchange rate continues to fall and is quoted at S / 3.99

The exchange rate started down on the day of Wednesday, October 13 and is located at S / 4.0318 at 09:05 am on the website of Bloomberg, representing a decrease of 0.19% compared to the closing of last Tuesday, when it stood at S / 4.039, according to the report of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

However, at 9:30 am the Bloomberg portal reported that the dollar continued its downward trend and stood at S / 3.9998.

For its part, the greenback is traded in the main banks of the country in S / 3,982 the purchase and S / 4,088 the sale. The exchange houses and ordinary money changers, meanwhile, offer the currency at S / 4.02 for the purchase and S / 4.065 for the sale.

This decline in the US currency happens after the Executive made official the continuity of Julio Velarde as president of the BCRP, a designation that must be ratified by the Permanent Commission of Congress.

Omar Azañedo, Founder & CEO of Noncash, predicted that the currency will reach a maximum of S / 4.00 at the end of 2021, because “we are still in a global crisis that is causing a high exchange rate, although the noise politician has accelerated this process ”.
