Since this year is going to be a year of recovery, what we hope is that when the economy begins to grow again and we have robust news, “it is possible, and I clarify, through consensus, to reach a solution,” explained Minister Contreras at the press conference after announcing new actions to reactivate the mypes.

Regarding the opinion of the Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Daniel Maurate, he recognizes that the current minimum wage is not adequate to provide a decent life to workers. For this reason, he suggests that 2024 could be the right time to consider and analyze an increase in the minimum living wage, since he hopes that this year we can regain growth momentum.

When was the last salary increase in Peru?
