According to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP), the exchange rate registered today, Friday, January 5, is lower than that seen in the previous two days, when it was at S/3.7280 and S/3.7350. It is worth mentioning that the dollar ended 2023 at S/3.7070.
In the parallel market, specifically the money changers of Jirón de la Unión, the green currency on average is S/3.70 for buying and selling is at S/3.73.
While in the interbank market, BCP offers it at S/3,670 for purchase and S/3,755 for sale.
