Authorize transfer of S / 550 million to the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund

The Government authorized the transfer of S / 550 million in favor of the Ministry of Energy and Mines to finance the payment of the obligations that the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPC) has with the producers and importers under its scope, charged to to the resources of the Contingency Reserve of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).

The provision made official through Emergency Decree No. 109-2021 published in the Official Gazette El Peruano seeks to ensure compliance with the payment of obligations derived from the FEPC, as well as promote access to Vehicle Natural Gas (NGV) and Liquefied Gas from Automotive petroleum (LPG).

LPG to CNG conversion

On the other hand, the regulation also authorizes the transfer of S / 200 million to the Development Finance Corporation (Cofide) to finance the conversions of vehicles from LPG to NGV.

Likewise, it provides for the use of resources from the Social Energy Inclusion Fund (FISE) to develop automotive LPG access programs in those areas that do not have NGV sales establishments, for a period of six months and up to a maximum of S / 30 million.

The holders of the entities that execute the resources are responsible for the adequate implementation of the provisions of this emergency decree, which includes the use and destination of the authorized resources, in accordance with current regulations.

The resources that are transferred within the framework of the aforementioned emergency decree cannot be used, under responsibility, for different purposes for which they are transferred.
