The statements of the Russian FSB about the recent revelations of more than one hundred members of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi youth group in 37 regions of the Russian Federation are just part of a coordinated information operation aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian special services. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
In addition, the SBU assures that these statements are intended to create “the appearance of the FSB’s work” for internal use.
This is not the first time the SBU has made such arguments. Thus, recent information about the arrest of Ukrainian agents who were monitoring strategically important targets and preparing terrorist attacks on Russian territory was declared a typical example of a “smokescreen” designed to divert attention from successfully exposing foreign agents of the SBU.
On the morning of December 13, the FSB reported the arrest of 106 supporters of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi group MKU, who “called for violent actions and were preparing for armed attacks on educational institutions.” The leader of “MKU” is a citizen of Ukraine Yegor Krasnov, born in 2020, who has already been put on the international wanted list. In Russia, 10 criminal cases have been opened against him, it is assumed that he is related to 11 murders on the territory of the Moscow and Leningrad regions.
