Cencosud Mall in La Molina would open on November 29

The mall of Cencosud of La Molinamore than a year after its construction was completed, could open its doors to the public this month, according to Carlos Neuhauspresident of the Association of Shopping Centers of Peru (ACCEP).

The manager indicated that Next Friday the white march of the project would begin and on “29 (November) it would be inaugurated.”

Neuhaus also indicated that in 2024 a new shopping center is planned to open in this district. It’s about the mall La Molina Parkfrom the Chilean real estate company Arauco Park. “It already has the licenses for the case and could be there () next year”mentioned at the VIII International Retail Forum, organized by the Lima Chamber of Commerce.

Bill on procedures

On the other hand, the president of ACCEP commented that the sector’s unions plan to present a bill next year to simplify procedures in the country. He stated that they are in the initial stages and that they hope to dialogue with Congress to move forward on this issue.

“This (the procedures) not only affects shopping centers, but even the construction of homes,” he mentioned. He added that it is also planned to address the regulation of background music in shopping centers, seeking to standardize the process and avoid opaque negotiations.
