The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Fund Administrators (SBS) declared the Corazón del Pueblo Savings and Credit Cooperative (Huanta-Ayacucho) in dissolution, as it was subject to the cause of total loss of social capital and the cooperative reserve.
SBS resolution No. 03650-2023 also resolves to exclude Corazón del Pueblo from the National Registry of Savings and Credit Cooperatives Not Authorized to Raise Resources from the Public.
Last September, the SBS ordered the intervention regime of Corazón del Pueblo because it was subject to the cause of total loss of social capital and the cooperative reserve, having determined, on the basis of the reported financial information, that it recorded As of March 31, 2023, negative equity amounts to S/ 6 million 127,249.99.
From now on, it is prohibited to initiate judicial or administrative proceedings against this cooperative for the collection of debts under its charge, to pursue the execution of judicial resolutions issued against it, or to constitute liens on any of its assets to guarantee its obligations.
Nor may payments, advances or compensation be made, or obligations assumed on her behalf, with the funds or assets that belong to her and are in the possession of third parties, as well as constitute a precautionary measure against her assets.
The SBS will be responsible for appointing temporary administrators who will have the objective of immediately taking possession of all of its assets, preparing a statement of financial situation and continuing actions for an effective and timely recovery of the loans granted, among others.
