Falchani: EIAsd of the Macusani Yellowcake lithium project in Puno admitted for processing

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem), through the General Directorate of Mining Environmental Affairs (DGAAM), has accepted for processing the Semi-Detailed Environmental Impact Study-EIAsd of the lithium exploration project Falchaniowned by Macusani Yellowcake.

Through Report 570-2023/MINEM-DGAMM-DEAM-DGAM, it is stated that Macusani complied, within the established deadlines, with the requirement established in Directing Order No. 303-2023/MINEM-DGAMM.

“Thus correcting the admissibility observations made to the EIAsd of the Falchani exploration project,” Minem says in a press release.

The start of this important step will allow the mining company, a subsidiary of the Canadian American Lithium, to take its lithium carbonate resources to proven reserves.

Similarly, Minem reported that, in the coming days, the Canadian capital mining company will announce the new calculation of existing resources in your project.

Macusani has stated that the Falchani lithium project, located in the province of Carabaya, Puno region, is unique and does not contain uranium. He points out that it should not be confused with his other 7 uranium projects: Falchani is distinct and is located 25 kilometers from these properties.
