The Verge: Apple no longer sells laptops with Touch Bar
Apple has stopped selling laptops with the Touch Bar. This was reported by The Verge.
After the announcement of the MacBook Pro based on M3 family chips, the American company updated its website. The portal’s journalists noticed that MacBooks with the Touch Bar, designed for an alternative method of data entry, disappeared from sale.
The last Apple laptop with a Touch Bar was the 13-inch MacBook Pro. Judging by the updated Apple website, Tim Cook Corporation has abandoned not only laptops with a touch panel, but also 13-inch computers.
For the first time, laptops with Touch Bar appeared in the Apple line in 2016. “While the Touch Bar had its fans, it wasn’t popular enough for Apple to stick with it long-term,” noted The Verge writer Jay Peters. When releasing updated 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros in 2021, the company abandoned the Touch Bar.
Apple introduced the M3 family of processors at the Scary Fast presentation. In addition to chips, the corporation showed updated MacBook Pro laptops with 14- and 16-inch screens, as well as a 24-inch iMac desktop computer.
