President Dina Boluarte signed in Talara the two supreme decrees that authorize the temporary operation, for 2 years, of lots I and VI under the administration of Petroperú.

“This is the beginning of a historic path that will seek an orderly transition towards new concessionaires, a strengthened public company and social actors clearly benefiting from the investment,” Boluarte said.
During her presentation, President Dina Boluarte assured that the 24-month mandate will be developed while the Government works on a new international competition that focuses the eyes of the largest hydrocarbon investors in the world on Talara.
Furthermore, the head of state assured that one of the objectives of her Government is to obtain the best conditions for the exploitation and care of natural resources, so that both operators and the population benefit.
The ceremony was attended by regional authorities from Piura, in addition to the Minister of Energy and Mines, Oscar Vera, the president of Perupetro, Isabel Tafur Marín, and the president of the Petroperú board of directors, Pedro Chira Fernández.
