In this way, the currency increased its value by 0.20% compared to the closing of the last Friday, December 3, when it stood at S / 4.0780. The purchase in the parallel market was located at S / 4,065 and the sale at S / 4.10. As for the price of the dollar in the main windows of the country, the purchase is located at S / 4,085 and the sale at S / 4,112, according to Bloomberg.

In today’s exchange session, the monetary authority went on the market to sell US $ 12 million at an average exchange rate of S / 4.0860 per dollar to attenuate the volatility of the foreign currency. It also placed a 3-month Interest Rate Swap for S / 50 million at an average rate of 2.36%.

This occurs on the eve of Congress evaluating whether to admit to debate the motion for presidential vacancy presented by Congresswoman Patricia Chirinos, which will be held on Tuesday, December 7. Meanwhile, President Pedro Castillo seeks to convene the main political leaders of the country to dialogue.
