Produce: business roundtables generated business expectations for almost S / 19 million in 2021

The Ministry of Production (Produce) reported that at the end of 2021 eight business rounds were held nationwide, where 400 formal Mypime participated and generated trading expectations for S / 18.7 million.

The head of the sector, Jorge Luis Prado, pointed out that to date business rounds have been held in the 25 regions of the country. “The first was held in Ayacucho – Arequipa – Cusco, through which negotiation expectations were achieved (S / 3.5 million); in Lima – Callao – Ica – Huancavelica (S / 1.8 million); in Tacna – Puno – Moquegua, (S / 2 million) ”, he stated.

In addition, he added that “in La Libertad – Lambayeque – Áncash business expectations for S / 1.3 million were generated; in Junín – Apurímac – Pasco for S / 3.5 million; in Ucayali – Loreto – Madre de Dios S / 1.6 million, in Piura – Tumbes – Cajamarca S / 3 million and, finally, Huánuco – San Martín – Amazonas S / 2 million ”.

Produce also explained that the MSMEs that participated in the commercial sessions during 2021 were mainly from the agroindustry, crafts, food and beverages, leather and footwear, jewelry, textiles and clothing, furniture and wood and services sectors.

What are business rounds?

The virtual business rounds organized by Produce are spaces where formal MSMEs can expose, offer and place their products or services for free.

“Through business rounds, Produce seeks to ensure that small and medium-sized production companies in each region have access to national purchasing companies, in order to establish commercial contacts and generate business opportunities,” indicates the Ministry.
